  Please join us to advance a culture of integrated quality improvement in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, provide a forum to share and discuss ongoing initiatives, and foster collaborative work in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology quality and safety. The symposium will feature keynote speaker, oral presentations of Quality Improvement Projects, a poster session, pre-conference workshops and a new Works-in-Progress session.

  Works-in-Progress Session - We are excited to introduce a new Works-in-Progress session on Friday, November 6, 2026. We welcome submission of QI projects at any stage of development - from those in the planning phases to those who have stalled after multiple PDSA cycles. This is an opportunity to share ongoing work, receive constructive feedback, and strengthen your project prior to formal dissemination.

  Selected projects will be reviewed in an interactive session by a multidisciplinary panel with expertise in quality improvement, clinical care, and research methodology. Panel members will provide targeted, practical feedback to help refine project design, implementation strategies, and evaluation plans.

  Works-in-Progress submission details:

  • Please email a brief summary of your project (including aims, methods, and current progress) to Florence Noel (fxnoel@texaschildrens.org ) by October 1, 2026.
  • Include any specific questions (or challenges) or areas where you would like feedback from the panel.

Desired Learning Outcome

At the conclusion of this conference, 90% of participants will identify at least one concept learned to enhance prioritization in quality and safety standards within the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology field based on information learned during the session(s).
