COLLABORATIVE WEBINAR: FAHQ - Survey Survival Tips in 2026 – A Dive into the Changes and How They Impact the Survey Process

Marianne Sevcik, RN, MSN

Healthcare Advisor/Founder, Partnership Consulting International, LLC

Marianne's clinical foundation began over 30 years ago as a labor and delivery RN gaining experience in diverse health care settings. She held leadership positions directing multiple Women's and Children's service lines in the US and was successful in improving quality outcomes for childbearing families and in streamlining clinical workflow to increase safety, efficiency, and value. Marianne led the team that was first in the state of Florida to receive TJC's Perinatal Certification.

Prior to starting her own consulting business, Marianne worked for The Joint Commission (TJC) as a Surveyor in the Hospital Accreditation Program. She was a team leader for many survey types including Perinatal Certification, Intracycle Monitoring (ICM), Medicare Deficiency, and more.

This presentation will provide an overview of the new infection prevention standards (The Joint Commission) and the crosswalk with CMS conditions of participation from the perspective of a former Joint Commission Surveyor. Our speaker will discuss the implications of the infection control chapter rewrite (TJC) as it relates to the survey process and provide solutions for mitigation. A question-and-answer session will be provided.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Understand the new infection prevention standards from The Joint Commission
  • Review the crosswalk with CMS conditions of participation
  • Discuss implications of the infection control chapter rewrite
  • Identify solutions for mitigation during the survey process
